Enzymes are invisible, natural proteins that can be the key to healthier, more radiant skin. They have proven particularly effective and gentle in cleansing products. Learn more about enzymes in skincare here.

What are enzymes and how do they work in skincare?

Enzymes are natural proteins that accelerate biochemical processes and gently remove dead skin cells. Unlike conventional scrubs with coarse particles, enzymes break down the proteins that hold dead cells together. This results in a gentle yet effective exfoliation that leaves the skin smoother and more radiant without irritation.

How do enzymes work in PEEL?

The innovative combination of active ingredients in PEEL is based on natural enzymes from papaya and pineapple, as well as an enzyme complex that gently exfoliates while hydrating the skin.

Papaya extract gently removes dead skin cells and ensures an even complexion. Its antioxidant properties protect the skin from free radicals, while its anti-inflammatory properties soothe irritated skin and promote collagen production.

Papain , an enzyme from papaya, supports gentle exfoliation by breaking down proteins that hold dead skin cells together. Additionally, it helps reduce age spots, treat acne, and stimulate cell metabolism, resulting in smoother and more supple skin.

Pineapple extract , rich in the enzyme bromelain and vitamin C, also removes dead skin cells while moisturizing and strengthening the skin barrier. Thanks to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, it soothes redness, promotes regeneration, and protects against environmental damage.

The enzyme complex of protease enzymes and maltodextrin complements the effect by not only promoting cell renewal and refining skin texture, but also binding moisture. Maltodextrin has an antioxidant effect and protects the skin from external influences.

For which skin types are enzyme peels suitable?

Enzyme peels are suitable for all skin types and can easily be integrated into the existing routine.

Sensitive skin: Gentle exfoliation with papain and plant enzymes removes dead skin cells without causing irritation. The anti-inflammatory properties of papaya and pineapple extracts soothe irritated skin and promote regeneration. Application: 1-2 times a week

Dry skin : Thanks to moisturizing ingredients like maltodextrin and papaya extract, the skin is intensely hydrated and its barrier function is supported. This ensures a smooth, supple skin feel. Application: 1-2 times a week

Oily and acne-prone skin : Papain and the enzyme complex thoroughly cleanse pores and reduce impurities. At the same time, the ingredients have an anti-inflammatory effect and promote the healing of skin irritations. Application: Once daily

Mature skin : Papain and pineapple extract stimulate collagen production, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and give the skin a firmer and more youthful appearance. Application: 2-3 times a week

Skin with pigmentation spots : Papaya and pineapple extracts help to lighten pigmentation spots and even out the complexion, while gentle exfoliation promotes a more even skin tone. Application: Once daily

Why an enzyme peel is healthier than plastic peels

Enzymes are biodegradable and particularly gentle on the skin. They work evenly and do not pollute the environment – unlike mechanical scrubs with plastic particles, which cause micro-injuries and end up in wastewater. Plastic scrubs often work unevenly and can further irritate sensitive skin.
